The “Dejar Huella” award, granted by the Universidad de los Andes, honors the contributions made by academia to contribute to the development and empowerment of communities in the country.
It granted the recognition to the Infraestructura Visible project for its support of the private sector through the Works for Taxes program. During the last four years, the Infraestructura Visible team has collaborated in the review of more than 150 initiatives in ZOMAC municipalities. Specifically, projects have been made viable in sectors such as road infrastructure (construction of bridges in Catatumbo), tertiary roads, treatment plants, sewage projects, and sanitary batteries for schools in remote areas. The University team has also contributed to the implementation of infrastructure projects in education (equipment and technology), and the provision of early childhood homes.
